About Us
UCLA Naya Zamaana is UCLA's premier all-gender South Asian a cappella team. Since 2006, our goal has been to celebrate the diversity of talent prevalent among musical students. Our singers and beatboxers come from a variety of musical backgrounds, some of which include but are not limited to Western, Carnatic, and Hindustani training -- exemplifying the distinct fusion of Western and South Asian culture. NZ aspires to bring these sounds together to create a unique voice that will usher in a new era in the world of a cappella.
